Open channels for dataset corrections & archive feedback
Contact support
Whether you are a journalist citing a historical UK tax band, a research analyst cross-referencing devolved Scottish thresholds, or a payroll practitioner checking a frozen ruleset, your feedback shapes the next release of the archive. Use one of the verified channels below to flag a dataset discrepancy, request additional historical coverage, or ask about how a specific source was cited.
Dataset corrections & source audits
Spotted a discrepancy between a published band, threshold or rate on this archive and the underlying HMRC, Senedd or Scottish Government publication? Send the engineering inbox the year in question, the field, the value you expect and the source you are citing so the correction can be verified and released.

Communication guidelines
taxyear.uk is an independent reference utility, part of the SalaryGrid.uk network and maintained by a single engineering author. There are no automated call centres or generative support bots in the loop — every ticket is read by a human, triaged manually and routed straight into the dataset's revision history when it identifies a real correction.
- Dataset correction tickets are acknowledged within 2 business days and verified against the original primary source before any change is shipped.
- Source audits (a missing footnote, a stale gov.uk URL, an updated Senedd publication) are released in the next scheduled deployment after verification — usually within a week.
- When filing a discrepancy , please include the tax year, the field name, the value as published here, the value you expect, and a link or citation for the upstream primary source so the correction can be reproduced.
- No personalised tax advice. The archive surfaces historical statutory figures for reference only. For binding tax decisions, please consult a qualified independent financial adviser (IFA) or UK accountant.

Privacy & data handling
Email correspondence is retained only for as long as it takes to resolve a ticket and any follow-up needed to close the loop. Personal details shared inside a support thread are never reused for marketing, never shared with third parties, and are deleted on request. Visit the SalaryGrid network About page for the maintainer profile, or the network methodology page for the canonical statement on how the archive is sourced.
